Elly Vanderplank M.Ost

Elly Vanderplank studied at the prestigious British School of Osteopathy London, qualifying with a master's degree  in 2015.   Elly is registered with the regulatory body of the profession the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO).

Elly became interested in osteopathy after acquiring multiple injuries as a young gymnast. She turned to osteopathic treatment for help, rehabilitation and education  and then decided to train herself.  She has since moved to East Anglia to help and support others through physical recovery.  She has a special interest in treating hyper mobility syndromes, sports injuries, expectant mothers, headaches and lower back pain.  Elly works observing the body as a whole and considers lifestyle factors such as participation in sports, daily life stresses, nature of work and living environment to allow her to identify the root cause of pain or dysfunction. This allows her to create a treatment plan that identifies and targets the source of the problem with an emphasis on the specific care of the individual patient.

Elly utilises a wide variety of musculo-skeletal techniques including lighter techniques such as soft tissue massage and joint mobilisation through to more robust techniques such as joint manipulation and work on the nervous system.  She will employ varying techniques as needed and with a view to as swift and thorough a recovery as possible.

"After 7 months of frustration and frequent visits to a chiro and physio with no joy, after just one session with Elly I've seen a massive improvement to my SI joint injury,  definitely on the road to recovery.  I would highly recommend her." Steven Webb, May 2017
