Shiatsu is a traditional form of therapeutic bodywork, originating in Japan. It uses a variety of techniques such as stretches, joint mobilisation, acupressure and holding to bring the body into a state of deep relaxation.
You don’t need to be ill to receive Shiatsu. Regular treatment can help support general health and wellbeing just by providing an opportunity to ‘chill out’. It is an excellent way of finding calmness and relaxation in our busy lives.
Shiatsu may also be very effective in the treatment and relief of many symptoms
and conditions, including:
- Back pain and sciatica
- Neck, shoulder and other joint pain
- Fatigue and low energy
- Anxiety and depression
- Digestive disorders and IBS
A full session lasts 60 minutes and takes place on a comfortable mat on the floor, on a massage table or in a chair if you prefer or have mobility problems. You will remain fully clothed so please bring or wear warm, loose, comfortable clothing.
Full Shiatsu Session (approx 1 hour) £40
Shiatsu Taster Session (approx 30 minutes) £20
